Tuesday Morning Sketches #449~Itty Bitty Banners, Amazing you, Stampin Up, Lawn Fawn, Party Panda

Good evening Friends.. I'll keep this short & sweet.😉 I made this card for the challenge at: Tuesday Morning Sketches
I used 3 stamp sets to make this card:  Stampin Up: Itty Bitty Banner, and Amazing you.   Lawn Fawn's Party Panda. I also used my lawn fawn die for the grass.. when I stamped the little bamboo plant.. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do with it, but I wanted to incorporate it somehow.   So I decided to add it as a little bow for her hair.   How sweet as she holds her cupcake treat, a couple spilled over on the side.  haha.. I think it's a "sweet" little card.

I must go work on my writing out the sympathy cards I made early.  My Aunt Pat's funeral is tomorrow.  Almost 3 months to the day after my mom's funeral.   My mom's funeral was Jan. 18th.  I just hope I can hold it together, and manage ok.   I know my anxiety is extra high lately.  So I'm hoping and will pray everything goes well tomorrow.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

CAS(E) this Sketch #267~ Lawn Fawn Blue Skies

Today I made a card that I will submit to the challenge at:
I thought it was going to be quite simple, I found some lovely background paper to work with, My dear friend Nancy gave it to me.   I knew I wanted to use clouds to represent the horizontal line.  Not a problem yet.. Everything is going lovely then came the balloons. I thought I'd just stamp them and color and be done.  But I was not getting the look I desired, so then came paper piecing time..I really like how they turned out but my goodness that was one of those finger cramping, eyes getting blurry, sticky fingers from the glue, kind of experiences.  But I think it was worth it.   I used a Lawn Fawn set called Blue skies.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.   I hope you will take a look around at my other cards, projects and pictures.

Challenge 54~Lovely As A Tree.. Stampin UP

Here is the second card I made for a dear customer that requested one for her Pastor's Birthday.
I used the stamping up's Lovely as a tree set along with some scripture verses that I have had for awhile, but they didn't come in a case, and I don't recall their name.  But I do get a lot of use out of them.
I'm so glad to find the Always Fun Challenges where the theme is "use Kraft"    It worked lovely for this card.  So I stuck with kraft color for the background which I embossed with a wood grain, then layered it with a dark brown.   I also used a nice dark brown ribbon to tie it all together.  I think the stamped tree image really pops with the lovely green color.

I also made a quick Mother's day card for my Etsy shop.  It was quite simple but of course in the hustle -n- bustle of today, I thought I'd try and sharpen my little blade on my paper trimmer.  BIG BIG BIG mistake.. oh my gosh, I made it way worse.  SO sad because now I will have to wait to get a few blades.  DRATS~~~ My cards will have to be on hold, unless I try to improvise with something.   I'm going to have to stock up on these blades, I go through them so fast.
Any ways I really like how the gold ribbon matches the center gold embellishments.

I'm including a couple pictures of this squirrel, he trims the tree constantly.  Perhaps I'll nickname him PB for Paul Bunyan 😉

Vibrant Colors! Happy Birthday Pastor

I want to give a big warm welcome to my newest blog follower.
Image result for minion thank you
I'm so happy you decided to sign up and follow my blog.  💛

Today I chose to make a Scripture Birthday card.  I was asked to make such a card for a customer that would like one for her Pastor.   I made a couple so she can choose what she likes best.  But, wouldn't ya know the day I say I will make a card, the creative juices stop flowing.  Oh boy I was drawing a blank and then I came across a couple challenges that helped out.  SO for this card I'm going to submit it to the challenge at: Seize the Birthday where the topping option is "vibrant colors"
I thought how fabulous because to me the word "hallelujah"  just kind of shouts to me and should be in bold colors.   That little stamp is from Walmart, and it's a cheap little clear set, but has lots of cute words.  I cannot remember where I bought the big bold verse, but it came with 3 stamps and I know I ordered it online.   The inside sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.
I thought I'd also show case this lovely morning dove.  Resting on the bird feeder today.   I suppose after 28inches of snow.. they need us to keep those feeders full.💜

FUSION Baby's Room~ Lawn Fawn Daddy and Me

Today I made a Father's day card, that I thought would be perfect for my dad.  He loves jokes and puns.   SO this Lawn Fawn set called, Dad and me, worked perfectly.
I will submit this card to the challenge at:
I chose to use only the sketch this time, however, if I stretch my imagination.. I think perhaps being there is a baby moose on board the card it might qualify for both.  😉  Any ways.. I stamped and colored my images and used a few dies to cut them out.  I really like how the glossy accents on the little pond makes it look so wet and realistic.  Gosh I can almost see the fish swimming.    I almost used the glossy accents on the glasses of "dad moose"  but thought next time, because I didn't want to steal the wonderful water display.

Before Decorating
After Decorating.. WOW!!
I'm also sharing a picture of my planner before and after decorating.  I forgot to post it this month.  So here it is.

FMS332~Light House & SCS

Before I get to the cards, I just want to warmly welcome our newest blog friend.
Image result for thank you minion
I'm so happy you decided to follow my blog💛
I made this card for the challenge at:
I thought it would tie in well with my SCS (Scripture Card Sunday)  Because this little stamp set I won came along with the one scripture verse I have stamped here.   It also has many awesome sentiments.  I just chose the verse for today.  I kept the card extremely simple.  I didn't even color in the light house or put any embellishments or accents on the card, well besides the washi tape.   Perhaps I'm a bit stamped out ( if that can be possible)  or perhaps it's the glue getting to me, after all I work in a tight little corner, and I've been busy making many sympathy cards.  My mom's sister, my dear Aunt Pat passed away last night very unexpectedly.  The family is in shock.  Almost 3 months to the day after my mom passed away.   In fact my poor Grandma who will be 95 this June has now had to see 3 of her adult children buried.  It breaks my heart, and actually does give me heightened anxiety.  I called her today, and she is so sweet, and strong.   I told her that her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren all need her, that we love her and that she is the matriarch of our family.

Any ways I'm also showing a few of the sympathy cards that I have made for my grieving Aunt, Uncles and cousins.  Grandma too💜  You'll note the inside verse.  The word 'upon' did not stamp well.  Grrrr So I will have to re-do a few.

Also going to try and share a video of HP enjoying the snow.. we are up to about almost 18-20 inches of snow so far, and it's still snowing..

And one more thing.. I made  my first little bracelet.   Actually it's quite large.  But I'm thinking about adding a line of bracelets, keys chains and purse charms to my Etsy Shop in hopes to get more business over there.. What do you think?

Thank you so much for stopping by for a visit, and for leaving a comment.  I look forward to reading them all.  I'd love to have you sign up and follow my blog as well.

SUOC 197: Favorite Florals ~Remarkable You

Well Hubby is outside with round one of snow blowing out a foot of snow.  Apparently "they" say we are in for another 6-12" later this afternoon.  I shared a picture of things so far.  I can imagine how difficult it will be for him because we live on a street with 4 lanes out front so when the big snow plows come through.. we get double the dump load of white heavy mess.   ugh.

Any ways I'm in here making cards on the porch, and I pulled out my remarkable you stampin up set to create this card.  I have to tell ya I tried so many different techniques.. the resist.. the black magic..and all of them NO success.. so I just went back to stamp it simple and there ya have it.  A bit of coloring and of course my new favorite tool.  Glossy Accents.. whoohoo❕  I took a picture with the flash so you could see how nice it looks with shine and dimension.
I think the little bow  "ties" it all together perfectly.    I'm going to submit this card to the Challenge at:
I tried to find a set that was from the current annual catalog.    I don't have to many current floral sets. But gosh after seeing the designers cards I think I might need to purchase one or two😉
I've also included a picture of the little rock I drew on.  HP was my inspiration.  It's a bit elementary, but hopeful the rock painting will get better.  Or perhaps I'll stick with words and verses for "Scripture Stones"  Thinking about adding those to my Etsy shop when I make some good ones.
Also including some snow pictures and my sweet hubby plowing out the race track.

And the one picture of my black magic card.   I really wish I would get better at this technique, I think it really pops and is beautiful when done nicely.  I suppose practice will make it better?

Challenge #267 - Sketch~Watercolor Wings Stampin Up

Today I made a card for the challenge at:
What a  fun sketch to work with.   I chose my stampin up watercolor wings set, along with a long birthday die from lawn fawn.   The colors I picked for this 3 step stamped image were basic black, crushed curry, and pumpkin pie.  I really like the contrast with the bright white background.    As I said in my previous posts.. you will be seeing a lot of the "glossy accents"  well until it runs out since I'm using it so much.  It's new to me, and I'm just loving the shine and dimension it gives the cards.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit.

April Sketch Challenge~Reindeer Christmas

I decided to pull out some Christmas stamps and paper to play along with the challenge at:
I used my Avery Elle stamp set called North Pole Pals.  I colored in the little reindeer and then cut them out.  I used my new glossy accents on the antlers, noses, collars, hooves and the trees on the bottom.  This stuff is so much fun and gives such a nice shine and dimension.  I'm usually the last to try a technique or product that has been around for awhile.  It's kind of like "bringing it back"  haha.
I added a piece of shiny green washi tape to match the collars and the trees.. also to break up all the red on the card.
Talking about trees, I thought I'd share a picture of one of the little pine trees in our yard with the rain drops hanging on the needles like Christmas tree ornaments.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #448~Sharing Sweet Thoughts Stampin up

I made this card for the challenge at:
I was super excited to try out my new Glossy Accents.  I've not ever worked with this  before.  How fabulous.  I just wanted to find the perfect stamp set to go with it.  So I chose, Sharing Sweet Thoughts from stampin up.  I highlighted the berries with the glossy accents after coloring them in, and it gave such a nice dimension and shine.  I'm totally impressed with this stuff.  I think it will be on many of my projects for quite sometime now.   The sentiment was quite long to fit in the jar so I had to mask parts of it off to get it to fit in there.  I really like how the green plaid papers make the red berries pop out.
I'm also sharing the sunrise I saw from my porch window this morning.  I love Mornings 💛

It's just one of those days where the card making did NOT come easily.  I had the loveliest vision of what I wanted my card to be, and this my friends is not it.  But Nevertheless I'm going to enter it in the challenge at:
I was thinking Spring and wanted to use my cute little moose with a window box of flowers, well apparently I don't know how to color with the few copic markers I have, they seem to pull out the black ink that I used to stamp my image.  So I chose my Stampin up markers, colored pencils and went with a bigger picture to color, at least I still have the cute moose in it.  However, I worked on the background for so long with the patterned paper that I didn't want to switch that out too.  So I just incorporated the green with the cafe canopy, cup and travel mug.
It's an interesting little card to say the least,  but I have a dear friend out in WA that might just appreciate this card, she loves her coffee.    Thank you for stopping by for a visit.
